What to Expect from the Sessions?

Theoretical Approach

As a specialist in psychoanalysis, my theoretical framework is inevitably the psychoanalytic one.

This means that by working with me, you will benefit from an approach focused on helping you develop the authentic parts of yourself, rather than teaching you who you should or should not be, or making you adapt to what could be considered the norm.

Throughout our process, we will discuss your past, present, and future, as well as how you relate to others and to yourself.

Through this, you will become aware of all the internal and external factors that affect the development of your personality, becoming able to think freely and with a true sense of ownership of who you are.

First Session

We will begin with a 90-minute conversation, during which we will reflect on your concerns and whether you feel a connection with me and with my approach to them.

If you decide that it makes sense for you to begin psychoanalysis, then we will discuss and agree on the frequency of the sessions. Otherwise, I can provide additional referrals if you wish.

The psychoanalytic process usually begins with at least one session per week, mainly due to the time needed to explore your inner world in depth. However, depending on the nature and severity of your symptoms, certain aspects of your lifestyle, and the pace of our progress, the frequency of sessions may be adjusted.

Therapeutic Process

There is no rigid script for the sessions. Instead, whatever is on your mind on the day of the session will be the starting point for our work together. From there, I will help you explore the ideas underlying your thoughts, expanding your ability to think.

End of Therapy

Over time, we will eventually reach a point where my collaboration is no longer necessary for you to stay in touch with yourself and continue to grow. When this happens, we will discuss when and how this journey will come to an end, and when you will have your final session.

From then on, your psychoanalysis will continue—only without me!
